Sarah Schofield grew up in regional New South Wales on sheep and wheat properties near the city of Wagga Wagga, in Australia. One of her earliest memories is riding her hand-me-down horse, Lucky, through the paddocks, without a saddle, helmet or boots.
Her passions are romance fiction and getting lost in the adventures of her characters. Her love of reading and writing began in her youth, and so it only seemed natural to her that she studied journalism and English literature at university. She then worked in radio and television for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart for over a decade.
It was the lure of working in radio at ABC Hobart that saw Sarah move south to Tasmania for a decade-long tree-change, where she also discovered a love of beer, hiking, and scallops. In her tiny western red cedar house looking across to the foothills of Mount Wellington in Hobart, she finally locked herself away to fulfil her life-long dream of writing a book.
She is now a communications professional, and lives in Canberra with her partner. Right Date, Wrong Guy is her debut novel.
